In Tomorrow Never Knows, The lads are hiking and take a rest near some ancient monoliths. Ringo stands over what he thinks is a well and falls in. The other 3 look for him and also fall in. It was really a trans-dimensional gateway that lead them to the center of the Earth. Or as George called it, "The inner world".
There they enter an ancient temple that looks a little like Ringo. They see the natives about to sacrifice a young woman. To save her, they start playing music. When John says, "Lay down all thought, surrender to the void". Paul lays down and plays dead. Mayan calendar behind him.
Beatles as Mayan gods?
Plumed serpent. More horns.
Their music makes the local dragons and natives happy. The Tribal king decides to let four young women marry the Beatles. They run away and fall back up the gateway.
